- Structural Systems - We have represented several clients in building collapse cases or other instances where a claimant alleged defective structural design caused or contributed to failure of the building structure or its components. In other cases, we have represented the owner in prosecuting its claims against the design and construction team for defective design and construction.
- Roof/Building Envelope Problems - We have represented design professionals, developers, and contractors in the defense of claims that the roof or other portions of the building envelope were defectively designed or built which lead to water infiltration. Several of these cases have involved multiple buildings and substantial alleged damages.
- Foundation Problems - We have represented owners, architects, structural engineers, and geotechnical engineers in numerous cases involving foundation movement of schools, churches, office buildings, and residences.
- Defective Materials or Equipment - We have handled claims involving the design, manufacture, or furnishing of defective materials and/or equipment. We also have represented clients in connection with complex litigation involving nuclear power plants, wastewater treatment plants, industrial mills, high rise buildings, and other facilities where construction materials or equipment were the basis of the claim.

- Sick Building Syndrome/Mold - We have represented design professionals against claims that defects in the design and construction of the building and the HVAC system created a “sick” building or resulted in “indoor air pollution.” In addition, we provide counsel to property owners, tenant associations, builders and architects and engineers in connection with the investigation and remediation of properties with mold infestation.
- Slip and Fall - We have represented several design professionals who were sued by individuals who claimed that their injuries were caused by defective design and/or defective floor materials.
