Practice Areas:

Henry's practice is primarily concentrated in the area of municipal land use law and involves the representation of owners and developers of residential, commercial, industrial and masterplanned properties in obtaining zoning, water and wastewater and other municipal land use approvals. He is a former member of the City of Austin Planning Commission and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. Mr. Gilmore's previous projects include:
  • Pioneer Crossing (formerly Jourdan Crossing): assisted owners in securing annexation, zoning, and utilities for a 1400 acre master planned community in Northeast Austin. Recently assisted owner in securing approvals to add 300 acres to the project and incorporate an 18-hole golf course.
  • Samsung Austin Semiconductor Facility: secured annexation, platting, zoning, and utilities for the Samsung semiconductor facility in Northeast Austin.
  • Avery Ranch: represented the owners in securing annexation and zoning for 1700-acre master planned community in North Austin.
  • Tokyo Electron of America: assisted Tokyo Electron with local permits for its manufacturing facility in Southeast Austin.
  • Silicon Labs:  assisted Silicon Labs with City approvals associated with purchase of 175,000 sq. foot building in downtown Austin;
  • Salt Lick:  assisted landowner with Development Agreement for 600+ acre mixed use development surrounding the famous Salt Lick BBQ Restaurant in Driftwood, Texas;
  • Villages of Western Oaks: assisted Lumbermens Investment Company with zoning approval for a 600-acre subdivision in Southwest Austin.
  • 300 West Sixth: represented CarrAmerica with zoning approval for 440,000 sq. foot office tower project in downtown Austin.
  • Walgreens: represented the developer of 3 Walgreens stores in Austin (Hyde Park, Mesa at Spicewood and South First and Stassney) in securing zoning approval.
  • East 11th Street Revitalization: represented Riata Development LLC, which is the developer of 3 blocks of East 11th Street in East Austin.
  • Sheldon-Gaston: represented Milburn Homes with respect to securing preliminary plan approval for a 600-acre residential subdivision in Northeast Austin.
  • Colton Bluff: represented landowner with annexation and zoning of a 120 acre mixed use SMART Housing project in southeast Austin.
  • Texas Industries, Inc.: represented Texas Industries with respect to securing City and County permits for numerous sand and gravel mining operations in eastern Travis County.
